Billing & Insurance

Transparent information about fees and how payment works

Cost shouldn't be the reason someone doesn't get support. Here's a plain-language explanation of how billing works at this practice.

How billing works

Sessions are currently private pay. The rates below are the private-pay prices for a 50-minute session. Insurance is not currently accepted.

Availability

In-person sessions are available Thursday afternoons and Friday through Monday. Telehealth sessions are available by appointment with more flexibility. Evening and weekend appointments are available, reach out to discuss scheduling.

Insurance coming soon

We plan to accept the following insurance plans. They are not yet available:

Aetna Blue Cross Blue Shield UnitedHealthcare / UBH

Please check with Joseph before scheduling if you plan to use insurance. We will update this page when insurance billing becomes available.

Sliding scale

A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for clients who demonstrate financial need. If cost is a barrier, please mention it when you reach out, there's no shame in asking, and it won't affect the quality of care you receive. Inquire about sliding scale availability.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your mental health care will cost. You can request one at any time. For questions about the Good Faith Estimate or your billing rights, ask during your consultation or intake appointment.
